When life gives you lemons...

Hello!

We are STILL alive, though our YouCaring page is feeling a bit cadaverous thanks to my hiatus from blogging.  (Boom! Vocab words for my English 11- they'd be proud)

We've only got 7 months left to reach our hefty goal (and then begins the payback planning!), so I better start making time to blog!

Here's why I haven't had time...

A) We have three kids, 2 of whom are getting more mobile and more combative every day

here we are having our "picnic on the floor" aka "Mom is doing dishes"

and here we are watching cinnamon rolls bake aka "Mom is doing dishes"

and here is Katherine picking on Emmi- aka "Mom takes pictures of these moments instead of stopping them because they are the humor in parenting"

B) We have even more doctor visits! Lili still has this
chipped tooth- another dentist visit lined up tomorrow

and I had a varicose vein removed (grossest surgery I've had to date) which was followed by concern of a blood clot- which turned out to not be a blood clot but might be heart related.... because when life gives you lemons and you try to turn those lemons into lemonade but your last name is Jones, you just end up with useless dried up lemons and more problems ;) So, we've got a few more doctor appointments to line up in addition to the Twins 1 year and Lili's 3 year (is your head spinning yet? I'm feeling like Regan over here)

C) The Twins are TURNING 1. Where has time gone? Poor 2nd and 3rd baby, you really don't get all the attention you deserve, and we're haphazardly planning your birthday party- but we do love you :) Followed by Lili's 3rd birthday- planning, planning, planning.

D) Every spare moment I find I'm scouring the Internet for a new place to live. We can't afford a house yet, so we've got to find a rental until we (THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!) can get our own home.

E) Sleep. That down time I get between 9-11pm before a baby inevitable wakes up is about the only time I have to blog, unless I do it moments like now, with both babies creeping up my legs and giving  me big, blue-eyed, scrunchy-
nosed baby stares screaming "PLAY WITH ME!" Spare time just doesn't exist, folks, and sleep wins- every. single. time. Sorry blog.

There you have it. This is why it's called "Keeping Up With The Joneses" - even though I'm the only Jones here, I'd argue the trait has been passed on to the Young Girls!

What would you do?

Of course, 2016 got off to a splendid start with Emmi giving herself a black eye by falling on the corner of Lili's bed, and then Lili chipped her front tooth playing "peek-a-boo" by her Auntie's bed, followed 2 days later by Katherine puking all over her crib.

On the bright side of things, Powerball is up to some ridiculous amount of money that I can't ever imagine having- so we've got to play! Our YouCaring page is slowly taking us places, but if we've got a chance at becoming (multiple) homeowners over night, we've got to try.

I was super excited Saturday night thinking that someone's life was going to change- how amazing it would be to get all those numbers and realize that you can now do WHATEVER you want. You kind of have to spend 2 bucks just in case, right?!

In case you're wondering what we'd do if we won:
A) Go to the nearest bar and buy EVERYONE a drink to celebrate
B) Build a dream house
C) Build YOU a dream house- or vacation house- or whatever you want
D) Set aside money for the girls for college
E) Set up a scholarship fund for our students
F) Quit work?!
G) Travel
H) Volunteer- ALL OVER THE PLACE. If I didn't have to work and could afford to just volunteer...
I) Get this tooth fixed

Good luck, everyone!!! :)
